DNA is forms a double helix shape/strand. The rule of base pairing is pretty much something that you just need to know by heart. A (adenine), T (Thymine), G (Guanine), and C (Cytosine) and the 4 bases that make up DNA.

***** The most important part is to know that A always pairs with T and G always pairs with C *****

So, the double helix strand of DNA is made up of two strands - kind of like a ladder - one strand is the original, while the other is a replicate of the original strand that is formed through different steps of polymerase reaction etc.

So, for example, let's say strand 1 has this code: ATGCTAGCTGATCG (I made this up, probably doesn't code for anything). But, knowing this, what will it's replicate of second strand look like?

Original strand:       ATGCTAGCTGATCG
Replicate Strand:    TACGATCGACTAGC

So, you can see from the above example that to form the replicate strand, you just insert the base that pairs with the one from the original strand. A-T and G-C!

Hope that helped!

Harman [31]
During extracting DNA from cheek, it is a classroom and standard protocols to students to used sports drink in their mouth as they scrape the inside cheek than water. The reason for this is the sports drink contains salt and concentration which is compatible with the cells inside the cheek. Additionally, another reason is sports drink prevent cells from damaging or breaking apart and releasing DNA before getting a sample.

The study of environmental science sometimes involves examining the overuse of environmental resources.
MakcuM [25]

Answer:

a) Greenhouse Effect.

b) Nuclear Energy.

Explanation:

a) The Greenhouse Effect is one general effect of overuse of an environmental resource. Through this effect Earth's surface is warmed, destabilising environmental temperature. This effect is caused by the hydrocarbons overexploitation.

b) Nuclear Energy could be an option to decrease the hydrocarbons overexploitation. Even tough, nuclear energy doesn't produce that much greenhouse gases, that's why is an option that some governments are considering.

c) The earthquake that happened in Easter Island could be an indicative of environmental issues, because the greenhouse effect can produce earthquakes, due to the elevation of the Earth temperature, icebergs are melting in the Earth Poles, causing a bump effect in the Earth crust.

Please answer I'm BEGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
mamaluj [8]

Energy is maximum at the level of producers, and then decreases upwards; only 10% of energy is carried on to the next trophic level.

Hence, an energy pyramid diagram for ecosystem studies shows a triangular shape.

I hope this helps
