I'm answering this question really late, but I need points and I need to practice solving these type of questions lol. Also, hello fellow army! :D

Answer:

This would be the equation: y=1/4*x+b OR y=0.5*x+b. Either way works. 0.5 is just 1/4 as a decimal.

Step-by-step explanation:

In this question, you need to find the slope.

The slope-intercept form is y = mx +b. This is what I used to make the equation y=1/4*x+b.

Find the slope.

You would have to find the change in y over the change in x. So change in y divided by the change in x.

Your change in y would be 2. This is because in the y column, the values change by +2.

Your change in x would be 8. This is because in the x column, the values change by adding 8.

So now, we need to divide the change in y over the change in x.

So... 2 divided by 8 equals 0.25.

0.25 as a decimal would be 1/4.

Now we put all of this in slope-intercept form y = mx +b.

The Equation is y=1/4*x+b

Abigail has 16 shoes use repeated subtraction to show how many pairs of shoes Abigail has
erik [133]

Hello!

Here is how we solve this question.

We know that 2 shoes = 1 pair

So we subtract 2 from 16 until we reach 0, and count how many times we subtracted.

16-2=14

14-2=12

12-2=10

10-2=8

8-2=6

6-2=4

4-2=2

2-2=0

After we do repeated subtraction we find that Abigail has 8 pairs of shoes!

Hope this helps you with your question.

Brianna typically sells candy bars for $4.70. During a sale she prices them at $3.30. What is the approximate percent discount o
Elena-2011 [213]

Answer:

30%

Step-by-step explanation:

One simple way of finding out discounts is to simplify our answer by starting with 10% and subtracting from that.

If the original price were to have a 10% discount, it would be 4.70/10 for .47 per 10% off.

10% gives us 4.23, so let's take another 10% off by doing 4.23-.47, which is equal to 3.76. While lower, it's not our answer so lets do another 10%

3.76-4.7 = $3.29

With a total of 3 10%'s taken off, or in this case, 30% off, we can conclude that the discounted prices of $3.29 is 30% of the original price.
