What is observed when magnesium is reacted with hydrochloric acid? choose all that apply
Zanzabum

It is observed that when magnesium reacts with hydrochloric acid, it produces visible bubbles of hydrogen gas.

A vigorous reaction will occur giving rise of heat as it is an exothermic reaction. If heat is applied then it should be more vigorous.

Reaction is as follows:

Mg(s) + HCl (aq) --> MgCl2 (aq) + H2(g)

Magnesium reacts easily with HCl to produce H2 gas and magnesium ions, Mg2+, and heat. The reaction is exothermic, so it heats up quickly.

Mg(s) + HCl (aq) --> MgCl2(aq) + H2(g)

The net ionic equation :

Mg(s) + 2H+ --> Mg2 + H2(g)

If water is removed from the solution then white crystals of Mgcl2 is obtained.

Or in simple words,

2Mg + 2HCl -> 2Mg+ + 2Cl- + H2(gas)

The magnesium is attacked by the hydrochloric acid resulting in the magnesium dissolving into the solution resulting in a solution of magnesium chloride in hydrochloric acid and the production of hydrogen gas.

can I get some help with my homework? or even set up a meeting with you? because I just dont get how to answer some of the quest
expeople1 [14]

Answer:

i can help you but it only depends on what your working on ?

Explanation . Claim: How solar cells different from silicon. evidence-The most promising group of these new materials are called hybrid lead halide perovskites, which appear to promise a revolution in the field of solar energy.Pure crystalline silicon is a poor conductor of electricity as it is a semiconductor material at its core.In a solar cell, the layers are positioned next to each other and that way an electric field is created.Crystalline silicon cells are made of silicon atoms connected to one another to form a crystal lattice. This lattice provides an organized structure that makes conversion of light into electricity more efficient.Solar cells are made from silicon boules. These are polycrystalline structures that have the atomic structure of a single crystal. The most commonly used method for the creation of the boule is known as the Czochralski method.

Reasoning: Traditional crystalline solar cells are typically made of silicon. An organic solar cell uses carbon-based materials and organic electronics instead of silicon as a semiconductor to produce electricity from the sun. Organic cells are also sometimes referred to as “plastic solar cells” or “polymer solar cells” hybrid perovskites Libai Huang, assistant professor of chemistry at Purdue, says the new material, called a hybrid perovskites, would create solar cells thinner than conventional silicon solar cells, and is also flexible, cheap and easy to make.

How does a hummingbird's beak help it to meet its basic needs?
masya89 [10]

Answer:Hummingbirds have long, needlelike beaks they use to probe deep into flowers. The hummingbird's beak is just a protective sheath for its tongue, which is actually what the hummingbird is using to get the nectar out of the flower. The tip of their tongue is forked and has little hairs all over it.

When the following equation is balanced with the lowest whole number coefficients possible, what is the coefficient in front of
larisa86 [58]
The unbalanced chemical reaction is
Na (s) + H2O (g) yields NaOH (aq) + H2 (g)

By inspection,
There is 1 mole of Na in both sides
There is 2 moles of H in the left and 3 moles in the right side.
There is 1 mole of O in both sides

We balance the reaction by:

2Na (s) + 2H2O (g) yields 2NaOH (aq) + H2 (g)
