Because they are going around feeling bad about there selves and then soon get depressed and maybe cause sucked in my opinion? The person's self-esteem would affect his or her health because low self-esteem can lead to depression and make it hard for a person to have a healthy relationship with others. That's why, it is important for a person to love himself or herself and boost some confidence so that you would be healthy physically and psychologically.

If their self esteem is too high then they could do stupid things to look good

If it's low then they might get depressed or limit what they do
