When one species grows or decreases, which destabilizes the ecosystem and then things start to die, Example: Beetles grow in population and eat all the grass, now the grass is gone, the ants now don't have anything to eat, the ants therefore die. Now the anteaters die because they have nothing to eat, therefore the tigers decrease because they don't have anteaters. etc
