3/2(x - 10 ) = 1/2 x + 5
expand by using distributive property
3/2 x - 15 = 1/2 x + 5
subtract (1/2 x ) on both sides
x - 15 = 5
add 15 on both sides
x = 20

answer
C. x = 20

So firstly with this equation, you're gonna want to multiply \frac{3}{2} with x-10 and that should bring the equation to \frac{3}{2} x-15= \frac{1}{2} x+5 .

Next, you're gonna want to add 15 on each side and your equation should look like \frac{3}{2} x= \frac{1}{2} x+20 .

Now you're gonna subtract \frac{1}{2} x on each side and your equation should look like \frac{2}{2} x=20.

And since 2/2 is equal to one, your answer is x=20

What is the volume of a cone with a diameter of 30 feet and a height of 60 feet? Use 3.14 for π.
AysviL [449]

Answer:

14130 ft^3

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the volume of a cone of radius r and height h is

V = (1/3)*pi*r^2*h.

Here, V = (1/3)(3.14)(15 ft)^2*(60 ft) = 20*3.14*225 ft^3 = 14130 ft^3
