Can someone please write an explanation of the following skills and how to preform them in volleyball:
Rina8888 [55]

Answer:

Forearm pass- This pass involves hitting the ball in a controlled manner to your teammate. The forearms are made into a flat platform, positioned ready for the ball to come into contact.

Setting- To find your volleyball setting position, put your hands above your head with your index fingers and your thumbs together. You should be able to place a ball into this hand position and let the ball just sit there comfortably. Then open up your hands and adapt your fingers to the shape of the ball. When setting a volleyball, the ball should only be contacted by your fingers and never the palms of your hands. The points of contact on your fingers should be close to the same contact points as when you formed the triangle (basically, you want your finger tips on the ball). The ball should contact your thumbs and first two fingers with an equal amount of force, while your last two fingers on both hands contact the ball with much less force.

Serving- A serve is used to put the ball into play to start the volley. The serve is the only skill controlled solely by one player. Advanced players take advantage of this fact by developing their serving skills. A players serve will dramatically affect the outcome of the volley and then of course the outcome of the game.
