Which relation is a function?
Dovator [93]

Answer:

A.

Step-by-step explanation:

You can tell if it has a function or not by the x-axis/domain. It does not matter if the y-axis/range has the same number, but if the x-axis has the same number then that would not be a function. Hope this helps!

What is the constant in the expression 5+7x?
Lilit [14]
Hey there!

When dealing with expressions, there are three terms that show up often: coefficient, variable, and constant. A variable is an unknown term commonly represented by a letter in equations (e.g. x, y, etc.) and a coefficient is a number attached to a variable (in your problem, 7 would be the coefficient of x, your variable, in 7x). That leaves your constant, which is simply a number that stays the same and doesn't contain a variable (e.g. 8, 10, 123, etc.).

Your answer will be "5".

Hope this helped you out! :-)

A triangle has sides of length 8 cm and 3 cm. What can you say about the length of the third side? Based on the triangle theorem
BartSMP [9]

- We know that the sum of any two sides of a triangle is always greater than the third side. So:

\begin{gathered} third\text{ side}

- Also the difference of any two sides of a triangle is always less than the third side. Therefore:

\begin{gathered} third\text{ side}>8-3 \\ third\text{ side}>5 \end{gathered}

Combining the two equations we get:

11>third\text{ side}>5

This means that the third side of the triangle lies between 5cm and 11
