Answer:

<em>a) 2.15 m</em>

<em>b) 123 m</em>

<em>c) 772.8 m</em>

Explanation:

<u>Circular Motion</u>

One point located at a distance r from the center of rotation travels a distance L given by the arc length :

L= \theta r

Where \theta is the angle formed during the rotation.

The wheel described in the question has a radius r=4.1 m and a point on the wheel rotates some angles given in each part:

a) \theta=30^o=30\cdot \pi / 180=\pi/6 \ rad

Calculating L

L= \pi/6 \cdot 4.1=2.15 \ m

b) \theta=30\ rad

L= 30 \cdot 4.1=123 \ m

c) \theta = 30\ revolutions = 30\cdot 2\pi\ rad=60\pi \ rad

L= 60\pi \cdot 4.1=772.8 \ m

<h3><u>Answer</u>;</h3>

= F0 L ( 1 - 1/e )

<h3><u>Explanation;</u></h3>

Work done is given as the product of force and distance.

In this case;

Work done  = ∫︎ F(x) dx

                    = F0 ∫︎ e^(-x/L) dx

                    = F0 [ -L e^(-x/L) ] between 0 and L

                    = F0 L ( 1 - 1/e )

Two disks are rotating about the same axis. Disk A has a moment of inertia of 3.3 kg · m2 and an angular velocity of +6.6 rad/s.
Licemer1 [7]

The angular momentum of a rotation object is the product of its moment of inertia and its angular velocity:

L = Iω

L is the angular momentum, I is the moment of inertia, and ω is the angular velocity.

Apply the conservation of angular momentum. The total angular momentum before disks A and B are joined is:

L_{before} = (3.3)(6.6) + B(-9.3)

L_{before} = -9.3B+21.78

where B is the moment of inertia of disk B.

The total angular momentum after the disks are joined is:

L_{after} = (3.3+B)(-2.1)

L_{after} = -2.1B-6.93

L_{before} = L_{after}

-9.3B + 21.78 = -2.1B - 6.93

B = 4.0kg·m²

The moment of inertia of disk B is 4.0kg·m²

Two identical waves are traveling toward each other in the same medium. One has a positive amplitude, meaning that its peaks onl
Olin [163]
The correct answer is Destructive Interference.

Consider the image attached below. Two waves are travelling towards each other. Blue wave always has a positive peak and the red wave always has a negative peak.

Now imagine these waves are moving through a rope. If blue waves will try to move the rope in positive direction, the red wave will pull it down, and thus the two waves will cancel the effect of each other. Thus resulting in a destructive interference.
