order of operations can be abbreviated as GEMDAS 1. <u>G</u>roups 2. <u>E</u>xponents 3. <u>M</u>ultiplication and <u>D</u>ivision 4. <u>A</u>ddition and <u>S</u>ubtraction
So start by writing out the equation
Slove anything grouped with parenthesis or other grouping symbols
There are no exponents so skip to Multiplying and Dividing
Then Addition and Subtraction
(also I already know that most people write it as PEMDAS as in parenthesis instead of groupings but I personally prefer to abbreviate it as GEMDAS and that is an opinion for a reason)
