Answer:

The cost of one balloon is 4 dollars

the cost of one cake is 6 dollars

Step-by-step explanation:

The way I did it was by substituting different numbers and seeing if they equaled forty or 26.

my thought process:

1 balloon= 5

1 cake= 10

that doesnt work for 2 balloons and 3 cakes

1 balloon=5

1 cake=5

that works for 4 balloons and 4 cakes but not 2 balloons and 3 cakes

1 balloon=4

1 cake=7

I'm sorry I'm way too tired to finish this 0-0 anyways yeah that's the correct answer :)

6\sin^2\theta-\sin\theta=1\ \ \ -1\\\\6\sin^2\theta-\sin\theta-1=0\\\\6\sin\theta-3\sin\theta+2\sin\theta-1=0\\\\3\sin\theta(2\sin\theta-1)+1(2\sin\theta-1)=0\\\\(2\sin\theta-1)(3\sin\theta+1)=0\iff2\sin\theta-1=0\ \vee\ 3\sin\theta+1=0\\\\2\sin\theta=1\ \ |:2\ \ \vee\ \ 3\sin\theta=-1\ \ |:3\\\\\sin\theta=\dfrac{1}{2}\ \vee\ \sin\theta=-\dfrac{1}{3}\\\\
\theta=30^o\ \vee\ \theta=150^o\ \vee\ \theta=360^o-\sin^{-1}\left(\dfrac{1}{3}\right)\ \vee\ \theta=180^o+\sin^{-1}\left(\dfrac{1}{3}\right)

kirill [66]

Answer:

<h2>2.6</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

To solve this, we need to use the Pythagorean theorem to solve this.

The way to solve is by solving for AD by using triangle CAD and then using that result to solve for BD.

3.4² + b² = 6.5²

11.56 + b² = 42.25

42.25 - 11.56 = b²

b = √30.69

b = 5.53985559 or about 5.5

4.9² + b² = 5.5²

24.01 + b² = 30.69

30.69 - 24.01 = 6.68

b = √6.68

b = 2.58456959666 or about 2.6

<h2>EDIT: the other user is incorrect, here's why</h2>

3.4 + 4.5 = 7.9

6.5² + 4.9² = 7.9²

66.26 doesn't equal 62.41

What is the surface area of a box if it is scaled up by a factor of 10
xenn [34]
If we are scaling up the surface area by a factor of 10 means that the two dimensions of area are each being increased by 10 times the original size. Therefore, the surface area is increased by a factor of 10 x 10, or by a factor of 100.
