Answer:

number of guest tickets, g, is 100 tickets

number of student tickets, s, is 125 tickets

Step-by-step explanation:

Given;

total number of tickets sold, t = 225 tickets

cost of each guest ticket,  = $5.5

cost of each student ticket, = $3.5

total cost of the tickets, Tc = $987.5

number of guest tickets = g

number of student tickets, = s

g(5.5) + s(3.5) = 987.5 ------- (1)

g + s = 225 ----------- (2)

From equation (2); s = 225 - g

Substitute the value of g in equation (1)

5.5g + 3.5(225 - g) = 987.5

5.5g + 787.5 - 3.5g = 987.5

5.5g - 3.5g = 987.5 - 787.5

2g = 200

g = 200 / 2

g = 100 tickets

Then, s = 225 - g

s = 225 - 100

s = 125 tickets

devlian [24]

To find the surface area of the given figure identify all the faces on the figure, calculate the area of each face and then sum the areas:

Measures in red

Number of faces in green, total faces 9

Area of a triangle:

A=\frac{1}{2}bh

Area of a rectangle:

A=bh

Area of faces 1 and 2(rectangles):

\begin{gathered} A_1=A_2=20in*11in \\ A_1=A_2=220in^2 \end{gathered}

Area of faces 3 and 4 (triangles):

\begin{gathered} A_3=A_4=\frac{1}{2}(12in)(9in) \\  \\ A_3=A_4=54in^2 \end{gathered}

Area of faces 5 and 6 (rectangles):

\begin{gathered} A_5=A_6=12in*5in \\ A_5=A_6=60in^2 \end{gathered}

Area of faces 7 and 8 (rectangles):

\begin{gathered} A_7=A_8=20in*5in \\ A_7=A_8=100in^2 \end{gathered}

Are of face 9 (rectangle):

\begin{gathered} A_9=20in*12in \\ A_9=240in^2 \end{gathered}

Total surface area:

\begin{gathered} SA=A_1+A_2+A_3+A_4+A_5+A_6+A_7+A_8+A_9 \\  \\ SA=220in^2+220in^2+54in^2+54in^2+60in^2+60in^2+100in^2+100in^2+240in^2 \\  \\ SA=1108in^2 \end{gathered}<h2>Then, the surface area of the given figure is 1108 square inches</h2>

Which list shows these lengths in order from greatest to least?
finlep [7]

9514 1404 393

Answer:

  √3/11, π/24, 3/25, 9/100

Step-by-step explanation:

The 2-decimal value of each of the numbers is ...

  9/100 = 0.09

  π/24 = 0.13

  3/25 = 0.12

  √3/11 = 0.16

Then the order from greatest to least is 0.16, 0.13, 0.12, 0.09. In the original form, that is ...

  √3/11, π/24, 3/25, 9/100 . . . . . matches choice B

A market surveyor wishes to know how many energy drinks teenagers drink each week. They want to construct a 98% confidence inter
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

The minimum sample size required to create the specified confidence interval is 1024.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have that to find our \alpha level, that is the subtraction of 1 by the confidence interval divided by 2. So:

\alpha = \frac{1-0.98}{2} = 0.01

Now, we have to find z in the Ztable as such z has a pvalue of 1-\alpha.

So it is z with a pvalue of 1-0.01 = 0.99, so z = 2.327

Now, find the margin of error M as such

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

In which \sigma is the standard deviation of the population and n is the size of the sample.

What is the minimum sample size required to create the specified confidence interval

This is n when M = 0.08, \sigma = \sqrt{1.21} = 1.1.

M = z*\frac{\sigma}{\sqrt{n}}

0.08 = 2.327*\frac{1.1}{\sqrt{n}}

0.08\sqrt{n} = 2.327*1.1

\sqrt{n} = \frac{2.327*1.1}{0.08}

(\sqrt{n})^{2} = (\frac{2.327*1.1}{0.08})^{2}

n = 1024

The minimum sample size required to create the specified confidence interval is 1024.
