Answer:

So a participle phrase is one that begins with a participle, which is just a verb (action) that is turned into an adjective (describing word).

So like, to "burn" is a verb. If we say "burned toast" it's an adjective.

to "work" is a verb, and it's an adjective when we say "working woman."

Which comparison of Beowulf and Grendel is most accurate?
wariber [46]

Comparison between Beowulf and Grendel which is most accurate is In the poem, Grendel seems like a heartless monster, but in the novel, he is emotionally complex.

Grendel is portrayed as the pure evil in the poem Beowulf. He is a pure evil by killing his loved ones and bring bad things and portrays him s someone who needs to be killed. In Grendel, a novel by John Gardner, the monster is shown emotionally complex by bringing good through his evil actions, for instance, his poetry and art. We figure out through the characteristics of Grendel that he has a problem with the place he is in and with the universe. He had constructed his own theory of life, everything is the product of own perception and that he exists alone until he encountered Beowulf. Grendel portray itself as an evil to make us understand that how we take things for granted like what is our purpose? who we are? whether we are on the right path? Hence, we tend to perform according to the society about what it feels to be good. Hence, we defy our own recognition and creates a monster within us.

How does a writer support a counterclaim after stating it?
Ghella [55]

Answer:

Restate the original claim; provide reasons; provide evidence

A counterclaim presented in a essay begins with a comparison of the original claim to the counterclaim. The writer should then provide reasons for the counterclaim and provide evidence to support the counterclaim. It is often used as a closing statement to an essay, but a counterclaim can be presented wherever it seems appropriate to do so.
