Investigator Sheer is testifying about DNA evidence she found at the crime scene that matches the suspect on trial. The prosecut

or asks Investigator Sheer to explain her conclusion that the DNA samples matched.
What would be a good explanation for her to give to the jury?

That at least 10 different points on the two samples matched
That the DNA profile matches someone with the suspect's hair color and skin tone
That she found one point that matched on the two DNA samples
That the DNA samples showed no clear points in common

She will give the DNA fingerprinting report to the jury which will have samples of suspect and its profile matching to the evidence found at the scene of crime.

In DNA fingerprinting hair, blood, semen, or other biological samples are required for the comparison of suspect and evidence. It depends on the unique polymorphism in their DNA.
The fragments of DNA are made to run on the electrophoresis gel and the similar bands observed will confirm the matching.
The DNA fingerprinting will provide very exact evidence if the DNA samples matched.

Why do organisms have varying traits, like different colored eggs?
mylen [45]

the organisms have varying traits, like different colored eggs because of the natural selection.

What is the process of natural selection?

Natural selection is one of the main mechanisms of evolution. In a very simple way, we can say that natural selection is a process in which the fittest organisms are selected, survive in the environment, reproduce and pass their characteristics on to their descendants.

the color change of an egg occurs by natural selection and also by genetic variability. since the environment will select the best ones to survive and mutations will occur. Natural selection will forcefully change the environment causing only a few species to survive.

How does DNA affect genetics?
Basile [38]

Answer:

Over our lifetime, our DNA can undergo changes or mutations that result in differences in the DNA sequence and may affect the proteins that are made. Mutations can occur as a natural consequence of errors in DNA replication or as a result of exposure to environmental factors such as smoking, sunlight or radiation.
