Write the equation of a line with a slope of O and a y-intercept of -2. Do not use spaces
Salsk061 [2.6K]
<h3>Answer:  y = -2</h3>

================================================

Work Shown:

m = 0 is the slope

b = -2 is the y intercept

y = mx+b

y = 0x+(-2)

y = 0x-2

y = 0-2

y = -2

This line is horizontal and goes through -2 on the y axis.

Two points on this line are (0,-2) and (1,-2)

What's the GCF of 56 and 21?
Sedbober [7]
GCF means "greatest common factor."
When I learned this, I was told to try 5 numbers and see if they work and if not, it might be 1.
Those numbers are 2, 3, 5, 7, and 9.
2 goes into 56 but not 21.
3 goes into 21 but not 56.
5 doesn't go into 56 nor 21.
7 goes into both 56 and 21.
9 doesn't go into 56 nor 21.
So since 7 works with both numbers, try numbers divisible by 7 (i.e. 14, 21...)
14 goes into 56 but not 21.
21 goes into 21 but not 56.
You can't go any higher than that since then it would be going above 21.
So the GCF of 56 and 21 is 7.

What type or types of transformations can affect the slope of a linear function? What type or types cannot?
Ket [755]
Answer: The correct answer is choice A.

Only the rotation and reflection would change the slope of a linear equation. In both of these cases, the direction of the line would change. Therefore, the slope of the line would also have to change.

In the case of a translation, the slope would not change. A translation is simply a movement up/down or left/right. The general direction (slope) of the line does not change.
