think of a pie 1/2 is split right in the middle which is a big piece for two people but think of splitting the pie into three pieces which is smaller than the 1/2 slice now think of splitting the pie into four pieces lots of pieces but smaller size

What is the perimeter of the figure
Natalija [7]

Answer:

The perimeter of the figure is 111.46 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:

RS = 43

LS = 18√2

A right Triangle is attached to a Rectangle.

A right Triangle is having measure angle 45° , 90°

and Hypotenuse = 18√2

∴ The Third Angle measure will also be 45° {angles Sum property of a triangle}

∴ the right angled triangle is an Isosceles triangle.

∴ Two sides are equal  LT = TS

To Find:

Perimeter of figure = ?

Solution:

we have

\sin 45 = \frac{\textrm{side opposite to angle 45}}{Hypotenuse}\\

we Know sin 45 = 1/√2

∴ \frac{1}{\sqrt{2} }= \frac{LT}{18\sqrt{2}}\\\\\therefore LT = 18\ unit\\\\\therefore TS = 18\ unit\\

Now ,

ARTL  is a Rectangle

∴ opposite side of a rectangle are equal

∴ LT = AR = 18 unit

and AL = RT

But,

RT = RS - TS

   = 43 - 18

   25

∴ AL = RT = 25

∴ Perimeter of figure = AL + LS + RS + AR

                                   = 25 + 18√2 + 43 + 18

                                   = 86 + 18√2

                                   = 111.455

                                   = 111.46 units

∴ Perimeter of figure = 111.46 units

Remember you can do anything to an equiaotn aslong as you do it to both sides

try to isolae the variable then find 1 of it

50=7x-6
add 6 to both sides
56=7x
divide both sides by 7
x=8

Valeria has been training for the Charlestown cruisers bike race. The first week she trained, she rode 5 days and took the same
ira [324]

The number of miles covered every evening obtujwd using a <em>system of equation</em> is 15 miles.

<u>Let the number of miles per evening</u> = m

  • Number of days = 5

  • Number of miles per morning = 8 miles

  • Total miles covered = 115 miles

<u>Using the expression below :</u>

<em>Number of days(miles per morning + miles per evening) = 115 miles </em>

5(8 + m) = 115

40 + 5m = 115

5m = 115 - 40

5m = 75

m = 75 / 5

m = 15 miles

Therefore, the Number of miles covered per evening is 15 miles.
