A high school play cost an up front $30,000 to produce, plus an additional cost as of $1000 for each perfromance. Every sold out

performance of the of thr play brings in $2500 of revenue to the school. How many sold out performance are needed so that the school breaks even OP n the production of the play?

Interpreted by text, we have got 2 function; 1 that describes the costs for ther performance and the other demonstrates the revenue.
f(x)= 1000x + 30 000
g(x)= 2500x
Two ways to work out when the school breaks on the
production of the play.
1- set these functions in geogebra and observe where cross each other. This value will be the answer as g goes higher than f
2- solve as an equation=> set f(x)=g(x) and work out the and afterward set the x value in f or g to find out the y coordinate

Remark

You are dealing with a right angle triangle. You can use one of Sin(x) Cos(x) or Tan(x). Since the Hypotenuse is involved and since you are given the adjacent side, Cos(71) is what you will need.

Solution

H = BC

Cos(x) = adjactent / hypotenuse

Cos(71) = 6.3 / H            Multiply both sides by H

H * Cos(71) = 6.3            Divide by Cos(71)

H = 6.3 / cos(71)             Cos(71) = 0.32557

H = 6.3 / 0.32557          Divide

H = BC = 19.351                       Answer

Figure B is a scaled copy of Figure A.Select all of the statements that must be true:
KatRina [158]

Answer:

B) Figure B has the same number of edges as Figure A

D) Figure B has the same number of angles as Figure A

E) Figure B has angles with the same measures as Figure A

Step-by-step explanation:

we know that

If two figures are similar, then the ratio of its corresponding sides is proportional and its corresponding angles are congruent

In this problem

If Figure B is a scaled copy of Figure A

then

Figure A and Figure B are similar

therefore

The statements that must be true are

B) Figure B has the same number of edges as Figure A

D) Figure B has the same number of angles as Figure A

E) Figure B has angles with the same measures as Figure A

Find the slope rise/run
Sloan [31]

Answer:

m = -1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

Find two points in order to calculate slope:

  • (0, 2)
  • (3, 1)

Slope (m) =

ΔY /ΔX= -1/ 3= -0.33333333333333

  • ( ΔX = 3 – 0 = 3
  • ΔY = 1 – 2 = -1 )

Slope intercept:

y = -0.33333333333333x + 2

Factor 4a2 - 25.

A. (2a + 5)(2a + 5)
B. (2a - 5)(2a - 5)
C. (2a - 5)(2a + 5)
nikdorinn [45]

This is the diference of 2 perfect squares. 4 is a perfect square, x^2 is a perfect square, and 25 is a perfect square. The pattern for this is (ax + b)(ax - b). Our a is 2 since 2*2 = 4, and our b is 5 since 5*5 = 25. So your factors are (2a+5)(2a-5), choice C.
