Hello!

Let O be the center of the sphere, A the tangency point and B the location of the satellite.

m<ABO = 1/2m(b) = 1/2 * 138 = 69

m<OAB = 90

m<AOB = 180 - 90 - 69 = 21

21 * 2 = 42

The answer is 42°

Hope this helps!

Which of the following expressions are equivalent to - -a/b
riadik2000 [5.3K]

Answer:

B) -\frac{a}{-b}

Step-by-step explanation:

1. First, we have to know that two negatives equal positive.

2. Given the information above, -\frac{-a}{b} can simplify to \frac{a}{b}.

3. Let's go through each answer choice and see which one also simplifies to \frac{a}{b}.

A:

  • \frac{a}{-b}
  • -\frac{a}{b}

B:

  • -\frac{a}{-b}
  • \frac{a}{b}

Therefore, the answer is B) -\frac{a}{-b}.

Dilate the figure by the scale factor. Then enter
Nina [5.8K]

The triangle ABC was dilated with a scale factor of 5 to form a figure with new coordinates at A'(-15, -5), B'(10, -10) and C'(-5, -20).

<h3>What is transformation?</h3>

Transformation is the movement of a point from its initial location to a new location. Types of transformation are<em> reflection, translation, rotation and dilation.</em>

Find the area of the shape
bogdanovich [222]
First you find the area of the square which is base x height (2x2) = 4 then you find the area of a circle which is pi R squared so you were do 2÷2 because radius is half the diameter so The formula that would be 3.14x1^2 and the answer is 3.14 then you add 4+3.14 which then equals 7.14in

One way of finding the area of a circle is by inscribing the circle inside a square. What is the area of the square?
denpristay [2]

    You find the area of the circle by using A = πr^2. Next you find the area of the square by finding the circle diameter since the circle touches side to side, and then multiply the diameter (width of square) x diameter (height of square) = the area of the square. From there just subtract the area of the square by the area of the circle = the none over lapping area of the square. You needed to subtract the area of the square by the area of the circle because the none over lapping are of the square is those little triangles on the corners.

Hope this helps :)
