Answer:

Depends on how you look at it.

Explanation:

Nixon opening up relations with communist countries was very good in terms of opening trade with low wage labor economies like china which represented a big economic success for both America and China. Him opening up relations improved Americas standing with many nations of the world including the soviets leading to reduction of nuclear arms in the future, these are positive aspects to it. The negative aspect is that mutual benefit also helps communist adversaries of America, opening up liberal trade with china failed to bring democracy to China, in fact it only led to higher levels of authoritarianism and shady economic practices like currency manipulation which hurts American currency exchange value. Its complicated, i would personally say it was a good idea but with a few major drawbacks geopolitically.

REY [17]

Abraham Lincoln was a Republican until he pointed it out. US president’s improbable claim made during roundtable discussion on Venezuela.

But for Lincoln’s death, there might have been some postwar investigations of the profiteers who supplied the Union Army with lousy war materiel. Soldiers in the field complained about leaky boots, spoiled meat, and biscuits that, when unpacked.

Lincoln abhorred slavery, a position that led him to the Republican Party. Once a Republican, his broader philosophy made its mark on the party. Lincoln was attracted to the party by his unwavering faith in the ideas espoused in the Declaration of Independence, even when faced with civil war. Lincoln was a moderate in a radical party.

Answer:The Indian Removal Act was signed into law on May 28, 1830, by United States President Andrew Jackson. The law authorized the president to negotiate with southern (including Mid-Atlantic) Native American tribes for their removal to federal territory west of the Mississippi River in exchange for white settlement of their ancestral lands.[1][2][3] The Act was signed by Andrew Jackson and it was strongly enforced under his administration and that of Martin Van Buren, which extended until 1841.[4]

The Act was strongly supported by southern and northwestern populations, but was opposed by native tribes and the Whig Party. The Cherokee worked together to stop this relocation, but were unsuccessful; they were eventually forcibly removed by the United States government in a march to the west that later became known as the Trail of Tears, which has been described as an act of genocide, because many died during the removals.[5]

Criticize or defend each of the U.S. actions surrounding World War II listed below:
Sergeu [11.5K]
I would support US aid to China, as i helped both Americans and Chinese.

Japan couldn't focus entirely on eastern (Pacific) front, it also had to fight against Chinese guerillas, who were a bigger threat thanks to american support.
From Chinese perspective, thanks to US help they were able to better resist invading army.

As for Lend-lease, I would also support this act, as it helped USSR in earlier parts of the war, when red army was significantly underequipped. In later part of the war Lend Lease helped  in regards to logistics, and since the distances on eastern front were huge it has sped up russian progress a lot. Consequently Nazi war crimes were ended more rapidly.
