Since a ounce = pound is 16=1 so convert 24 ounces into pounds which is 1.5 pounds so multiply 6.4 by 1.5 and get $9.6 dollars for 24 ounces of the spread.

What is the slope of all lines parallel to the line 4x-5y+-1?
Bond [772]

Given equation of the line ,

\implies 4x - 5y +(-1) = 0

Simplify ,

\implies 4x - 5y - 1 = 0

Transpose terms to RHS ,

\implies 5y = 4x - 1

Divide both sides by 5 ,

\implies \boxed{ y =\dfrac{4}{5}x -\dfrac{1}{5}}

Now we know the slope intercept form of the line as y = mx + c we have ,

  • m =\dfrac{4}{5}

As we know that the slope of all parallel lines are same . Henceforth ,

  • m_{|| \ lines } =\dfrac{4}{5}

Jason owns a small business selling bagels. He knows that in the last week 45 customers paid cash, 8 customers used a debit card
tatuchka [14]

The probability that the next customer will pay with cash is 0.76

<h3>What is the probability?</h3>

Formula to find the probability of an event is:

P(A) = n(A)/n(S)

where;

n(A) is the number of favorable outcomes of an event A

n(S) is the total number of outcomes for an experiment/survey

We are given that;

45 customers paid cash

8 customers used a debit card

6 customers used a credit card.

Thus, the total number of customers:

n(S) = 45 + 8 + 6

n(S) = 59

Let event A be the event that the next customer will pay with cash. Thus, n(A) = 45

Therefore, the probability that the next customer will pay with cash would be;

P(A) = n(A)/n(S)

P(A) = 45/59

P(A) = 0.76
