Explanation:

Homologous chromosomes are two pieces of DNA within a diploid organism which carry the same genes, one from each parental source.

In simpler terms, both of your parents provide a complete genome. Each parent provides the same 23 chromosomes, which encode the same genes. So, our cells carry 46 total chromosomes, in two copies. However, each homologous chromosome can provide a different version of each gene. Two versions of each gene create more variety, lower the detrimental effects of negative mutations, and generally stabilize a population.

Drag the numbers to put the following steps in the correct order.
deff fn [24]

Answer:

- In glycolysis, glucose is split into two pyruvate and makes some ATP

- The Krebs cycle produces ATP, NADH and CO2

- NADH gives electrons to the ETC

- As electrons move down the ETC, a H+ gradient is made

- H+ pass through the ATP synthase to make ATP

Explanation:

This question is describing the processes involved in cellular respiration. Cellular respiration is the way through which living cells synthesize energy (ATP) by breaking down sugar. Cellular respiration involves three major steps: glycolysis, Krebs cycle, and oxidative phosphorylation (electron transport chain).

- Glycolysis is the process whereby glucose is broken down into pyruvic acid or pyruvate with the synthesis of net 2 ATP molecules.

- Kreb's cycle produces ATP, NADH and CO2.

- NADH is an electron carrier that donates electrons to the Electron transport chain (ETC).

- Electrons move down the ETC to produce a proton (H+) gradient

- The proton (H+) passes through an enzyme called ATP synthase to make ATP from ADP molecule.

Alcohol and other psychoactive drugs affect which parts of the brain? #1. primitive brain #2. reasoning center of the new brain
pogonyaev
The part of the brain which is affected is reasoning center of the new brain. Drinking alcohol also decreases motor function and slow reaction time, this is why when a person is drunk, he/she may not be able to stand or walk a straight line. Psychoactive drug or psychotropic substance is a chemical substance that acts primarily upon the central nervous system where it alters brain function resulting in temporary changes in perception, mood, consciousness and behavior.
