Answer:

i think 8

Step-by-step explanation:

you can round the 7 in 7/10 and then get 8 because 7 is high enough to round up to 10 and when you get a whole number, and 7 + 1 is 8 so that why i think it's 8

i dont know if i explained that good :(

Answer:

They bought 23 tickets for children and 52 for adults.

Step-by-step explanation:

So first you must find what i represents so here it is

A= Adult

C= Children

They both sold the tickets which is going to be

A + C = 75

Now here it shows

12= each adult ticket

8= each children ticket

find the equation like this 12 A + 8C = 808

Now to find the C

You can find by resolving it like this

C= 75 - A

Solve the A and C

4A = 208

A = 52

12 (52) + 8C = 808

624 + 8C = 808

Children = 23

Adult= 52

In quadratic formula
lorasvet [3.4K]

x² - x - 12 = 0

x = \dfrac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^{2} - 4ac}}{2a}

a = 1, b = -1, c = -12

x = \dfrac{1 \pm \sqrt{(-1)^{2} - 4(1)(-12)}}{2(1)}

x = 4 or -3

Answer: 4 or -3

One angle measure in an acute triangle is 38°. What could the measure of one of the other angles be?
Oksi-84 [34.3K]
If is an acute triangle, all the angles should be acute angles.
180-38=142°
142-69=73°
So your answer is 69°, lovely~

I need help with these two problems. [9 and 10] FORMULAS GIVEN!!

<h2>Question 9:</h2>

1. Use Pythagorean Theorem (a²+b²=c²) to solve for missing side of triangle and rectangle. x²+16²=20², or x²+256=400. So, x²=144, and x=12

2. Use formula: 1/2(h)(b1+b2). 1/2 (12) (30+14).

3. Simplify: 1/2 (12) (44)=1/2(528)=264

Area of whole figure is 264 square mm.

<h2>Question 10:</h2>

Literally same thing but with trigonometry.

1. Use sine to find out length of dotted line: sin(60°)=x/12

2: Simplify: 12*sin(60°)=x. x≈10.4 (rounded to the nearest tenth)

3. Use Pythagorean Theorem to find out last leg of triangle: 10.4²+x²=12²

4: Simplify: 108.16 +x²=144. x²=35.84 ≈ 6

5: Use formula: 1/2(h)(b1+b2). 1/2 (10.4) (30+36)

6: Simplify: 1/2 (10.4) (66) =343.2

7: Area of figure is about 343.2

Remember, this is an approximate answer with rounding, so it might not be what your teacher wants. The best thing to do is do it yourself again.
