Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

first, since all of the sides are equal, the angles are equal too. in order to find the missing variable, y, we need to make the two equations equal to each other.

5y - 3 = 3y + 27

then, we solve this one. first, we move the terms.

5y - 3y = 27 + 3

then, we collect the like terms.

2y = 30

so, y = 15.

now, we can insert 15 in for y on angle a.

5(15) - 3

that calculates to 72. so, the measurement for angle A is 72 degrees.

now we need to find angle B. we know that there are 360 degrees inside of a parallelogram. so, we subtract 144 from the 360. (since both given angles are the same, they add up to 144. we subtract that from the total, in order to find the other angles.)

360 - 144 = 216

then, we divide 216 by 2, in order to find the two separate angles.

216 / 2 = 108. so, the measurement for angle B is 108 degrees.

A ship leaves port at 1:00 P.M. and travels S35°E at the rate of 27 mi/hr. Another ship leaves the same port at 1:30 P.M. and tr
Len [333]

To solve this problem you must apply the proccedure shown below:

1. You must apply the Law of Cosines, as you can see in the figure attached. Then:

- The first ship travels at 27 mi/hr in for two hours. Therefore, the side a is:

a=(27 mi/hr)(2 hr)=54mi

- The second ship travels at 18 mi/hr for 1.5 hours. Therefore, the side b is:

b=(18mi/hr)(1.5hr)=27mi

- Now, you can calculate c:

c=\sqrt{54^{2}+27^{2}-2(54)(27)Cos(55)}=44 mi

The answer is: 44 miles

Do any of you get this question? Please help!
Alexxandr [17]
Honestly i just wanted to try this question since ive never seen it but i dont rlly know if i did it right at all

I equaled GH, HI, and GI together to get y

which i got y=-2

and what i got next i feel is off since

GH, HI, and GI all equaled -11

if you kind of know how to do the question maube you could correct me from there but otherwise dont take my word for it completely

A the zoo, the zookeeper make 4,000 pounds of ice. The zookeeper can make 400 pounds per day. How many days will it take to make
Nataliya [291]

Answer:

10 days.

Step-by-step explanation:

to find what you multiply from 400 to get to 4000, you divide 4000 by 400, which is 10, plug that in, 400 pounds x 10 days = 4000 pounds.
