Answer:

The expression to represent the spending (in dollars) of a shopper who gets the discount will be:

 • d ≥ 400

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that a shopper must spend no less than $400 in order to get the

10% discount.

 • Here: 'no less than' means that the shopper must spend greater than or equal to $400.

Let us suppose that 'd' represents the spending (in dollars) of a shopper who gets the discount.

Thus, the value of 'd' must be greater than or equal to $400.

d ≥ 400

Therefore, the expression to represent the spending (in dollars) of a shopper who gets the discount will be:

 • d ≥ 400

Solve the inequality:
6(2y - 4) + 2.6 > 14.7
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

y > 3.0083

Step-by-step explanation:

6(2y-4) +2.6 >14.7

=6 ×2y +6(-4) +2.6 >14.7

=12y - 24 + 2.6> 14.7

And then collect like terms

12y > 14.7 +24 -2.6

12y > 38.7 - 2.6

12y > 36.1

12. 12

y > 3.0083

Is it possible for an acute angle and obtuse angle to create complementary angles?
kenny6666 [7]
I’d say no because a complementary angle is 2 or more angles with a sum of 90 degrees [tip for differentiating supplementary and complementary angles: complementary (c) comes first in the alphabet (this is 90 degrees) and supplementary (s) comes later (this is 180 degrees. 180 comes later in counting] Anyway, an obtuse angle is more than 90 degrees which already can’t be a sum. (I’m not 100% sure but I hope this helps!)
