You have a double slit experiment, with the distance between the two slits to be 0.025 cm. A screern is 120 cm behind the double

slits. The distance between the central maximum and the Sh maximum is 1.52 cm. Please calculate the wavelength of the light used in the experiment

Answer:

The wavelength of the light is 633 nm.

Explanation:

Given that,

Distance between the two slits d= 0.025 cm

Distance between the screen and slits D = 120 cm

Distance between the slits y= 1.52 cm

We need to calculate the angle

Using formula of double slit

\tan\theta=\dfrac{y}{D}

Where, y = Distance between the slits

D = Distance between the screen and slits

Put the value into the formula

\tan\theta=\dfrac{1.52}{120}

\theta=\tan^{-1}\dfrac{1.52}{120}

\theta=0.725

We need to calculate the wavelength

Using formula of wavelength

d\sin\theta=n\lambda

Put the value into the formula

0.025\times\sin0.725=5\times\lambda

\lambda=\dfrac{0.025\times10^{-2}\times\sin0.725}{5}

\lambda=6.326\times10^{-7}\ m

\lambda=633\ nm

Hence, The wavelength of the light is 633 nm.

Forces can act on an object in the same direction or in opposite. how does each situation affect the motion of the object?
Anon25 [30]

Hi pupil here's your answer ::

➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡➡

Action and Reaction do not act on the same body !! If they acted on the same body, the resultant force will be zero and their could be never accelerated motion.

If both the forces acted on the same body, then if they are equal to opposite direction the object will remain stationary. If on of the forces is greater than other the object will move in the direction of greater force.

If both acted in the same direction there would be an accelrated motion.

A person runs 15 kilometers in two hours what is his/her average speed
bazaltina [42]

Answer:

\displaystyle V=7.5\ km/h

Explanation:

<u>Average Speed </u>

If an object travels a distance d in a time t regardless of the direction, the average speed is the quotient of the distance over the time:

\displaystyle V=\frac{d}{t}

It's known a person runs d=15 kilometers in t=2 hours, thus his/her average speed is:

\displaystyle V=\frac{15\ km}{2\ h}

Calculating:

\boxed{\displaystyle V=7.5\ km/h}

What is the pressure drop (due to the Bernoulli Effect) as water goes into a 3.00 cm diameter nozzle from a 9.00 cm diameter fir
kap26 [50]

Answer:

1581357.68216 Pa

163.21352 m

Explanation:

A = Area = \pi r^2

v = Velocity

1 denotes inlet

2 denotes exit

\rho = Density of water = 1000 kg/m³

Flow rate is given by

Q=A_1v_1\\\Rightarrow v_1=\dfrac{Q}{A_1}\\\Rightarrow v_1=\dfrac{40\times 10^{-3}}{\pi 0.045^2}\\\Rightarrow v_1=6.2876\ m/s

Q=A_2v_2\\\Rightarrow v_2=\dfrac{Q}{A_2}\\\Rightarrow v_2=\dfrac{40\times 10^{-3}}{\pi 0.015^2}\\\Rightarrow v_1=56.58842\ m/s

From the Bernoulli equation we get

P_1+\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_1^2=P_2+\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_2^2\\\Rightarrow P_2-P_1=\dfrac{1}{2}\rho (v_2^2-v_1^2)\\\Rightarrow \Delta P=\dfrac{1}{2}1000 (56.58842^2-6.2876^2)\\\Rightarrow \Delta P=1581357.68216\ Pa

The pressure drop is 1581357.68216 Pa

From the Bernoulli equation

P_a+\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_1^2=P_a+\dfrac{1}{2}\rho v_2+\rho gh\\\Rightarrow h=\dfrac{\dfrac{1}{2}v_1^2}{g}\\\Rightarrow h=\dfrac{\dfrac{1}{2}56.58842^2}{9.81}\\\Rightarrow h=163.21352\ m

The height is 163.21352 m
