Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

A)

The opposite sides of a rectangle are equal. The width make this obvious because both of them are x.

B)

The lengths are not so obvious, but it is never the less true. The two sides are obvious and they are therefore true.

4x + 1 = 2x + 12                   Subtract 1 from both sides.

<u>    - 1              -1</u>

4x = 2x + 11                         Subtract 2x from both sides

-2x   -2x

2x  =  11                               Divide by 2

x = 11/2

x = 5.5

C)

P = L + L + w + w

P = 4(5.5) + 1  + 2(5.5) + 12 + 5.5 + 5.5

P = 22 + 1 + 11 + 12 + 11

P = 23 + 23 + 11

P = 57

What is the area and perimeter of the triangle
MrMuchimi

Answer:

Area = 20yd

Perimeter = 23 yd

Step-by-step explanation:

Area = 1/2 ×bh

b, which I the base = 10yd

h, which is the height = 4yd

Note: 5yd is the base because when you turn the triangle you will see that 10yd is the base and 5yd is the height not 8yd because 8 yd is not a straight line at a right angle

Therefore;

Area = 1/2× 10 × 4

= 1× 5 × 4

= 20yd

Perimeter = 8yd +5yd +10yd

= 13yd + 10yd

= 23yd

What are the zeros of the polynomial function F(x) = x3 - 5x2 - 6x?
NeTakaya

Answer:

The zeros are {2, 3}

Step-by-step explanation:

Please use " ^ " to indicate exponentiation:

F(x) = x^3 - 5x^2 - 6x

Factoring out x, we get:

F(x) = x(x^2 - 5x - 6)

Factoing the quadratic, we get:

F(x) = x(x - 3)(x - 2) = 0

The zeros are {2, 3}

Simplify the sum. State any restrictions on the variables. (x-2)/(x+3) + (10x)/(x^(2)-9)
nlexa [21]
\frac{x-2}{x+3} + \frac{10x}{ x^{2} -9}= \\ = \frac{x-2}{x+3}+ \frac{10x}{(x-3)(x+3)}=
Restrictions are: x ≠ - 3,  x ≠ 3.
= \frac{(x+2)(x-3)+10x}{(x+3)(x-3)}= \\  \frac{ x^{2} -3x+2x-6+10x}{(x+3)(x-3)}= \\ = \frac{ x^{2} +9x-6}{(x+3)(x-3)}
