So if triangle ABC is similiar to triangle DEC then we know that when two figures are similar, the ratios of the lengths of their corresponding sides are equal.So we can write:

AC/DC = BC/EC =AB/DE = k

BC= 9ft + 6ft = 15

BC/EC= k
15/6=k

Now that we know the k we can find the height of the tree that's equal to AB:

AB/DE= k
AB/4=15/6
6AB= 15 x 4
AB= 60/6 = 10

The height of the tree is 10ft

The space shuttle releases a space telescope into orbit
sergey [27]

Answer: 68 m/s^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

The acceleration a of the satellite can be calculated by the following equation:

V_{f}=V_{o}+at

Where:

V_{f}=1700 m/s is the final speed of the satellite

V_{o}=0 is the initial speed of the satellite (it was "stationary" before the release)

t=25 s is the time

Isolating a:

a=\frac{V_{f}}{t}

a=\frac{1700 m/s}{25 s}

Finally:

a=68 m/s^{2}

In triangles DEF and OPQ, ∠D ≅ ∠O, ∠F ≅ ∠Q, and segment DF ≅ segment OQ. Is this information sufficient to prove triangles DEF a
kenny6666 [7]

In triangles DEF and OPQ, ∠D ≅ ∠O, ∠F ≅ ∠Q, and segment DF ≅ segment OQ; this is not sufficient to prove triangles DEF and OPQ congruent through SAS

<h3>What are congruent triangles?</h3>

Two triangles are said to be congruent if they have the same shape, all their corresponding angles as well as sides must also be congruent to each other.

Two triangles are congruent using the side - angle - side congruency if two sides and an included angle of one triangle is congruent to that of another triangle.

In triangles DEF and OPQ, ∠D ≅ ∠O, ∠F ≅ ∠Q, and segment DF ≅ segment OQ; this is not sufficient to prove triangles DEF and OPQ congruent through SAS
