Answer:

Not tangent

Step-by-step explanation:

tangents are perpendicular to the radius at the point of tangency.

With radius 5 and tangent length AB 12, the hypotenuse would be 13

Subtracting the radius would leave a line segment length outside the circle of 8, it is reported as 9, so AB is NOT tangent.

Is d y / d x the exact same as f ' ( x ) ? If yes, which is more commonly used?
Murrr4er [49]
It's dependent on the context. A book may ask you to find the f'(x) of a function and you may have to use a u sub in your problem which requires you to find the dy/dx of what you substitute. So in this case both would be used.

Proportional relationships! <br> Need help on!
Jlenok [28]
Direct variation has this equation:

y = kx

where k is the constant of variation

y = -5 ; x = -15

y = kx
-5 = k(-15)
-5/-15 = k
1/3 = k

Choice D. y = 1/3 x

John has $6 to buy school supplies. He buys 6 notebooks that are $0.52 each. He spends the remaining money buying erasers that a
Anuta_ua [19.1K]
John bought 18 erasers.

Explanation: He has $6.00

He spends $3.12 on notebooks
Then you do $6.00 - $3.12 and you get $2.88

If it’s ¢16 per eraser and he has no money left over after buying erasers than you would divide $2.88 by $0.16 which turns into 288 divided by 16 which comes out to 18.

Therefor John bought 18 erasers.

Which triangles are congruent by SAS?
boyakko [2]

Answer:

Option A

Triangles ABC and TUV

Step-by-step explanation:

Given three triangles ABC , FGH and TUV

For triangles ABC and FGH, given that

DF =AB

DH = AC

and angle F = angle A

This cannot be taken as SAS congruence because the angle F is not included between the equal sides.  Two triangles can be congruent by SAS only if two sides and included angle are congruent.

For triangles ABC and TUV we have AB=TU, AC = TV and

included angles between these sides are equal.

So these two triangles are congruent

We write corresponding sides only in order Hence ABC = TUV

and Not VTU =ABC

So option A is true.
