Hypertension is most commonly known as high blood pressure, which is condition where the blood in a persons arteries are abnormally high. high blood pressure/hypertension can be lowered by maintaining a healthy lifestyle. this means that you must exercise regularly and eat well, which tells us that option B and D are incorrect. hypertension is also known to cause heart attacks if it is left untreated for long periods of time and can occur if you are being treated for heart disease, but heart disease is usually never the cause of hypertension. since we have determined that option C is also incorrect,, we a left with option A as the correct answer to this question. having hypertension can be genetic, so if you have two parents who are genetically prone to this condition you are more likely to have it.
