This unit covers the removal of Native American tribes to Indian Territory. Today, we judge the methods used by the US governmen

t harshly, believing that the forced relocation of these tribes was wrong. Some historians believe that using present-day ideas about right and wrong to judge the past makes it more difficult to understand history. This idea is known as presentism.
What do you think? Do you agree that the values of today can't be compared with the values from another era? Or do you think that what is right and wrong today still applies to the actions of people in history?

What are the key facts of December 7, 1941 (Pearl Harbor)?
andrey2020 [161]

December 7, 1941 (or 6, 1941, depending on which time zone you were in), was the day of the Battle of Pearl Harbor, in which Japan broke political ties with the US, and attacked the US harbors in Pearl Harbor, destroying multiple infrastructure and battleships before the US had time to react. This battle also sparked the US to declare war on Japan, and led to the internment of Japanese American Nisei and Issei in an attempt to rid the US of spies & political enemies.
