The average radius of a molecule of lysozyme, and enzyme in tears, is 1430 pm. what is the radius in nanometers?
Galina-37 [17]

The average radius of a molecule of Iysozyme, an enzyme in tears, is 1430 pm.

The size of an element's nucleus and also the total number of electrons around it grow with an element's atomic number. The radius of an atom increases with increasing atomic number.

The calculation of conversion of radius is shown below:

It is known that, 1 meter is equal to 10¹² picometers.

We can use a conversion fraction to convert 1430 picometers to meters.

1430 pm × (1 m / 10¹² pm) = 1.430 × 10⁻⁹ m

1 meter is equal to 10⁹ nanometers.

Now, use a conversion fraction to convert 1.430 × 10⁻⁹ meters to nanometers.

1.430 × 10⁻⁹ m × (10⁹ nm/1 m) = 1.430 nm

Therefore, the radius of nanometers will be 1.430nm

Almost all the energy and associated biomass in Earth's ecosystems comes from the
adoni [48]

Answer:

D . Energy flows from the Sun or from rocks through the primary producers and the  successive levels of consumers.

Explanation:

Energy flows only through the sun not the rock because sun is the ultimate source of energy which can be used by the plants for making their own food in the form of glucose during the process of photosynthesis. This plant is then eaten by primary consumer known as herbivore. These primary consumer is eaten by secondary consumer is called carnivores. The tertiary consumer feeds on the secondary consumer and so on. In the end, decomposers feed on the dead bodies of animals and releases nutrients which can be used again by the plants for making food.

Why is 3 the correct answer to number 1 ? Explain why and answer this please !!
ELEN [110]

Answer:

3) offspring with more variety

Explanation:

The reason #3 is the answer to #1 is because variety means change or difference in something and the change was in the environment. Asexual species reproduce with no partner, just their genetics, so there isn't much of a change. Species that reproduce sexually have a higher advantage of reproducing offspring with more variety because there was a "change" in the environment. If that change affected one of the two mating species it could cause variety within the environment.

What does outliers mean and can you use it in a sentence please!!!
irakobra [83]
An outlier in human society means an extraordinary achiever.

One author, Malcolm Gladwell, theorized that 10,000 hours of work is the secret sauce for becoming an outlier.

My thoughts?Yes and no.

Example: I can't imagine someone with an 80 IQ  having the same achievements in physics vs someone with an 150 IQ. Even if the low IQ person puts in 10,000 hours and the 150 IQ person only puts in 1000 hours.
