Answer:

x = 12

Step-by-step explanation:

Sarah bought 5 cartons of juices (with x in each carton) and 6 separately.

When counted, there were a total of 66 juices.

How many were in each carton

5x + 6 = 66

5x = 60

x = 12

Hey there,
5x + 6 = 66
5x = 66 - 6
5x = 60
x = 60 / 5
   = 12

Whenever a number crosses a equal sign it changes into its opposite - for example when 5 crosses the equal sign, it become -5.

Hope this helps :))

4(2.1k-4)=6(3.4k-2) what does (K) equal?
LUCKY_DIMON [66]
Hey there.

4(2.1k - 4) = 6(3.4k - 2); apply the distributive property to remove the parenthesis.
8.4k - 16 = 20.4k - 12; Get the variable to one side, so subtract 8.4k.
-16 = 12k - 12; isolate the variable by adding 12.
-4 = 12k; divide by 12 to solve for our variable.
k = -1/3

I hope this helps!

vova2212 [387]
Yes, they can Decimal places are the numbers after a decimal. So for instance: 3.28863, that would have more than one decimal place because .28863 is more than one decimal place.
