Naily [24]

When DNA was discovered, Watson and Crick saw that the strands of the double helix are lined up in the opposite direction of each other. This type of orientation is called the antiparallel orientation.

The antiparallel orientation is a type of orientation showing two polymers present side by side but running in the opposite direction. The best example of this is the deoxyribo nucleic acid (DNA). DNA molecule is made up of a pair of polynucleotide strands which are antiparallel. The antiparallel orientation of the DNA facilitates the hydrogen bonding between the two complimentary strands. This is also important for the processes of DNA replication and transcription.

How is it possible for organisms to undergo both punctured equilibrium and gradualism?
lawyer [7]

Answer: Gradualism and punctuated equilibrium are two ways in which the evolution of a species can occur. A species can evolve by only one of these, or by both. Scientists think that species with a shorter evolution evolved mostly by punctuated equilibrium, and those with a longer evolution evolved mostly by gradualism.

Use what you know about the effect of heat on gases to explain why, the gases came out of the leaf when it was put into warm wat
lara31 [8.8K]

This happens because when leaf are submerged it is using light to continue process of photosynthesis, this process includes the release of oxygen that we see in bubble format .

Why the gases came out of the leaf when it was put into warm water?

When the leaf is put in warm water it is using light to continue the process of photosynthesis. Part of this process is to let oxygen out of the leaves. It is this oxygen that you are seeing as bubbles in the water.

Which part of the leaf the gas came from?

The only way for gases to diffuse in and out of the leaf is though small openings on the underside of the leaf, the stomata.
