Answer:

4x+15 Is the answer

Step-by-step explanation:

4(6−2x)−3(3−4x)

Distribute:

=(4)(6)+(4)(−2x)+(−3)(3)+(−3)(−4x)

=24+−8x+−9+12x

Combine Like Terms:

=24+−8x+−9+12x

=(−8x+12x)+(24+−9)

=4x+15

Hey there!

“ Simplify 4(6 - 2x) - 3(3 - 4x)”

FIRST: you have to DISTRIBUTE

4(6) + 4(–2x) + (–3)(3) + (–3)(–4x)

4(6) = 24

4(–2x) = –8x

–3(3) = –9

–3(–4) = 12x

NEW EQUATION: 24 – 8x – 9 + 12x

SECOND: COMBINE your LIKE TERMS

(24 – 9) + (–8x + 12)

24 – 9 = 15

–8x + 12 = 4x

OR........ (MAINLY this one )

(–8x + 12) + (24 - 9)

(–8x + 12) = 4x ⬅️ FRONT NUMBER

24 – 9 = 15 ⬅️ BACK NUMBER

ANSWER: 4x + 15 ☑️

Good luck on your assignment and enjoy your day!

Jordan flipped a coin 492 times. Which of the following would be a good estimate of the number of times the coin landed on heads
Irina-Kira [14]
I'd say B. but that's only because I divided the number of times he flipped the coin by the number of sides it has, 2, and came up with 246. The closest number on here to that is 231 or B. I hope I helped.

Kylie is comparing the cost of two housekeeping companies, DoItRight and CleanIt. The table describes the costs for DoItRight.
abruzzese [7]

Answer:

<u>First, find the cost function of DoItRight Housekeeping:</u>

  • Slope(m) = cost per hour = \frac{y_{2}-y_{1}}{x_{2}-x_{1}}=\frac{44-26}{3-1.5}=\frac{18}{1.5}=12

<em>The y-intercept(b), representing the initial cost, can be calculated by substituting in values to the function:</em>

f(x)=12x+b\\26=12(1.5)+b\\b=26-18=8

<u>Therefore, the function for two companies are:</u>

  • The function for DoItRight is f(x)=12x+8
  • The function for CleanIt is g(x)=10x+16

When comparing the two functions, it's shown how CleanIt has a greater y-intercept than DoltRight, meaning that CleanIt has a greater initial cost than DotRight. The y-intercept is when the graph intercepts the y-axis, therefore, the coordinates there would be (0, y-value), which, in this case for CleanIt company, will be (0, 16). While CleanIt has a greater y-intercept(initial cost), DoItRight has a greater slope, meaning they cost more per hour.

Write the point-slope form of the line satisfying the given conditions. Then use the point-slope form of the equation to write
abruzzese [7]

slope = m = 16-10 / 8-5 = 6/3 = 2

y - y1 = m x (x-x1)

y-10 = 2 x (x-5)

y-10 = 2x-10

y = 2x
