The Chrysanthemums is a short story about Elisa and her husband. Elisa is very good at gardening even though she only grows chrysanthemums and one day a stranger comes into her property seeking work as he was a Tinker who mended pots and the like.

The man only got to her house because he had lost his dog in the vast, open areas as he travelled seeking customers. After a discussion with Elsa, he deceives her into giving him a small job due to her love for chrysanthemums.

The answer: Brain

In Angie's situation, she has her spinal cord intact but still has difficulty walking. Medically, balance, gait and walking require complete functions of the brain and spinal cord. Whoever could find out a fair, cheap and easy method of making these children sound useful members of the common-wealth, would d
mario62 [17]

Answer:

D. He doesn't always agree with the choices of who is honored by the public.

Explanation:

This excerpt is from Jonathan Swift's (1667 – 1745) satirical article "A Modest Proposal" - for preventing the children of poor people in Ireland, from being a burden on their parents or country, and for making them beneficial to the publick.

Option C states almost the same thing as in option D. But option D better explains the situation.

There is also a sharp sense of satire in author's usage of words "fair, cheap and easy". Jonathan Swift's satire is aimed toward government whose policies even in matters of such great importance are economy centered.
