Answer: are diagrams that depict the direction and relative magnitude of a vector quantity by a vector arrow. Vector diagrams can be used to describe the velocity of a moving object during its motion. For example, a vector diagram could be used to represent the motion of a car moving down the road.

When Javier and his father went to dinner, the bill was $34. If they tipped the waiter 20%, how much did they spend in total?
Kamila [148]

Answer:

Not sure if this is right, but I got $40.8.

Step-by-step explanation:

I first turned 20% into a decimal. (0.20).

Then I multiplied 0.20 and 34 which is 6.8.

I then added 34 since it’s the original cost to 6.8 since that’s the tip amount.

After that, you should get $40.8.

Bart used place value and the distributive property to rewrite the expression 6(412). His work is shown below. 6(412) = 6(400 +
egoroff_w [7]

Bart should;

Multiply 6(400), 6(10), and 6(2) ⇒ 2nd

Multiply each addend by 6 ⇒ 4th

Find the sum of (2400 + 60 + 12) ⇒ 5th

Step-by-step explanation:

Let us revise the distributive property

  • a(b + c) = ab + ac
  • a(b + c + d) = ab + ac + ad

Bart used place value and the distributive property to rewrite the

expression 6(412)

His work is shown 6(412) = 6(400 + 10 + 2)

We need to know what Bart should do to find the product

∵ 6(412) = 6(400 + 10 + 2)

- Multiply each number in the bracket by 6 in the right hand side

∴ 6(400 + 10 + 2) = (6)(400) + (6)(10) + 6(2)

∴ 6(400 + 10 + 2) = 2400 + 60 + 12

∴ He should to multiply each addend by 6 and then find the sum of

  (2400 + 60 + 12)

Bart should;

Multiply 6(400), 6(10), and 6(2)

Multiply each addend by 6

Find the sum of (2400 + 60 + 12)

Please assist me with the domain and range of graphs
Sphinxa [80]

Answer: see below

Step-by-step explanation:

Domain represents the x-values from the smallest (furthest left) to the biggest (furthest right).

Range represents the y-values from the lowest (furthest down) to the highest (furthest up).

Interval notation: If a value is included (closed dot), use a bracket [ ]

If a value is NOT included (open dot), use a parenthesis ( )

Note that ± ∞ is never included.

1. Domain: smallest x-value is -4 (included). biggest x-value is 3 (included)

Range: lowest y-value is 2 (included). highest y-value is 5 (included)

                 D: x = [-4, 3] R: y = [2, 5]

2. Domain: smallest x-value is -∞ (←). biggest x-value is 2 (included)

  Range: lowest y-value is 2 (included). highest y-value is ∞ (↑)

                 D: x = (-∞, 2] R: y = [2, ∞)

3. Domain: smallest x-value is -∞ (←). biggest x-value is ∞ (→)

  Range: lowest y-value is -∞ (↓). highest y-value is ∞ (↑)

                 D: x = (-∞, ∞) R: y = (-∞, ∞)

4. Domain: smallest x-value is -∞ (←). biggest x-value is ∞ (→)

  Range: lowest y-value is -∞ (↓). highest y-value is 4 (included)

                 D: x = (-∞, ∞) R: y = (-∞, 4]

5. Domain: smallest x-value is -∞ (←). biggest x-value is ∞ (→)

  Range: lowest y-value is 3 (included). highest y-value is ∞ (↑)

                 D: x = (-∞, ∞) R: y = [3, ∞)

6. Domain: smallest x-value is -2 (included). biggest x-value is ∞ (→)

  Range: lowest y-value is -3 (included). highest y-value is ∞ (↑)

                 D: x = [-2, ∞) R: y = [-3, ∞)

How do i write y = x -4 in a x and y chart/table?
IrinaK [193]
Okay well it kept saying that I for some reason was not using appropriate words so my long response got deleted.

tldr; we can treat this like a box that we put something into (x) and we get something back from it (y).

We can then take this data we get and put it in a table. This is useful for finding patterns.

I will post a picture of what a table may look like.

Hope this Helps!
