Answer:

\displaystyle p=\frac{1}{15}

Step-by-step explanation:

<u>Probability</u>

The simple probability of a random event can be calculated as the ratio between the possible favorable cases and the total possible cases.

The pie chart shows the number of books in Hero's library grouped by category.

The total number of books is 14 + 10 + 4 + 2 = 30

The number of romance books is 2

Thus, the probability of randomly choosing a romance book out of the total books is:

\displaystyle p=\frac{2}{30}

Simplifying:

\mathbf{\displaystyle p=\frac{1}{15}}

This corresponds to the first option

ashley is baking a cake shaped as a right triangle. Two of the angles are measurement of 5x and 10x. What is the value of x?
DENIUS [597]

Answer:

A. 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Since, cake is of right triangled shape, so measure of its one angle would be 90° and the sum of the measures of the remaining two angles will also be equal 90°.

Therefore,

5x +10x = 90

15x = 90

x = 90/15

x = 6

Answer:

  $2400

Step-by-step explanation:

The question is asking the amount invested in fund B. We can let 'b' represent that amount. Then the amount invested in fund A is (6000-b). The total profit from the investments is ...

  0.02(6000 -b) +0.07(b) = 0.04(6000)

  120 +0.05b = 240 . . . . . simplify

  0.05b = 120 . . . . . . . . . subtract 120

  b = 2400 . . . . . . . . . . .divide by 0.05

Alonzo invested $2400 in fund B.

Can somebody help with geometry? I need to know how to prove it to be a rectangle. I already proved parallelogram.
Vanyuwa [196]
I'm not sure how to give you solid proof, like an equation or something, but you can see that out of the four coordinates, two of them have the y-value of 4 and two of them have the y-value of 2. Also, there is 1.5 in between each x-value that is paired with the same y-value... if that makes sense. So for (0.5, 2) and (3, 2), there is 1.5 in between 0.5 and 3. I hope this helps! Sorry it's a bit of a weird answer

What is the equation in point slope form of the line that passes the points (2,-3) and(-5,8)
Grace [21]

Answer:

y+3=-11/7(x-2)

Step-by-step explanation:

y-y1=m(x-x1)

m=(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

m=(8-(-3))/(-5-2)

m=(8+3)/(-7)

m=11/-7

m=-11/7

y-(-3)=-11/7(x-2)

y+3=-11/7(x-2)
