Apothem = (the answer is a sqaure root)

Mathematics
1 answer:

Answer:

\sqrt{20}

Step-by-step explanation:

To find the Apothem of a shape, we need to find how long the distance is from a vertex to the center of the shape.

We can see that they've already showed us how to do it: We need to find the length of the hypotenuse of the red triangle.

To do this, we can use the Pythagorean Theorem, which states that a^2 + b^2 = c^2.

We know that a is going to be half of 4, which is 2. We also know that b is going to be 4, so we can substitute inside the equation.

2^2 + 4^2 = c^2\\\\4 + 16 = c^2\\\\20=c^2\\\\c=\sqrt{20}

Hope this helped!

I am thinking of a number.
AfilCa [17]
Hmmm......

Then, you must be thinking of 19.

Explanation:

Let you numher be x

now
according to question

multiply it by 8 and it becomes 8×x = 8x

Now add 22
so it becomes
8x + 22

now as told in the question take the same number again i.e x for one more time.

multiply it by 6
and you'll get 6x
and after adding 60 you'll get 6x + 60

Now again according to question
8x+ 22 and 6x+60 are same number therefore they must be equal,

8x+22 = 6x+60

Do a little azebra

8x -6x = 60 -22
2x = 38
x = 19.

and Tada, your number is here.

The system of equations x + 2y = 6 and x – 4y = 0 is graphed below. What is the solution to the system of equations?
blagie [28]

Step-by-step explanation:

x + 2y = 6....(1) \\  \\  x - 4y = 0\\ \implies \: x = 4y....(2)\\  \\ from \: equations \: (1) \: and \: (2) \\ 4y + 2y = 6 \\   \therefore \: 6y = 6 \\  \\ \therefore \: y =  \frac{6}{6}  \\  \\  \huge \red{ \boxed{ \therefore \: y =  1}} \\  \\ substituting \: y = 1 \: in \: equation \: (2) \\  \\ x = 4y \\  \\ \therefore \: x = 4 \times 1 \\  \\  \huge \orange{ \boxed{\therefore \: x = 4 }} \\  \\ \therefore \: (x, \:  \: y) = (4, \:  \: 1) \\ is \: the \: required \: solution. \\

Can someone help me with my homework please
vichka [17]
Now you can see its pretty simple, its 128 but the way i got it is first you double 8 which makes 16 right then double 16 and you can see you got 32 then double 32 which makes 64 so next what you have to do is double 64 Obiously so you just double those numbers to get 128....Get it?
