Answer:

$16.25

Step-by-step explanation:

10 x 3= $30 for the friends house

20 x 5= $100 for the other couple

Add them up and you'll get $130 divide the amount of hours he baby-sit which is 8 hours. Therefore $130/ 8 equals to $16.25 which is Matts average pay per hour of the day.

What is the absolute value of the complex number -4- sqrt 2i? A) sqrt 14 B) 3sqrt2 C)14 D)18
Novosadov [1.4K]
Remember the pythagorean theorem.

a^2 + b^2 = c^2

The complex number is a+bi,  the absolute value is 'c'

|-4-\sqrt{2} i| = \sqrt{(-4)^2 + (-\sqrt{2})^2} = \sqrt{16+2} = \sqrt{18} = 3\sqrt{2}

Write the equation for the line that is parallel to y=2/3x-5 and goes through the point (-12/2)
tatyana61 [14]

Answer:

I put the equation into Point-Slope Form and got:

y - 2 = 2/3(x + (-12))

Distribute the 3 to the numbers on the left:

3y - 6 = 2(x - 12)

Multiply the Parenthesis by 2:

3y - 6 = 2x - 24

Add 6 to the right side:

3y = 2x - 18

Divide both sides by 3:

y = 2/3x - 6 is the answer :)

Pete Smith bought two new car tires from Firestone for $89.95 per tire. Firestone charged Pete $3.25 per tire for mounting, $2.6
den301095 [7]
First youll need to add all the numbers together to get the cost of one tire
89.95 + 3.25 + 2.60 + 3.80 = $99.60
now that we know how much one tire costs, we can multiply the price of one tire by two to found out his final bill
99.60 x 2 = $199.20
Pete's final bill is $199.20
let me know if you have any other questions

How do you write in exponential form?
skelet666 [1.2K]
Exponential form is an easier way to write a number product of many factors. The exponent tells us how many times the base is used as a factor.
Example: Write 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 x 2 using exponents.
