Use the graphs to solve the simultaneous linear equations

Mathematics
1 answer:
Delicious77 [7]3 years ago
4 0

Answer:

x = 2 and y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the simultaneous linear equations

y = 2x + 1 and x + y = 7

We are to find the  value of x and y;

Substitute 1 into 2

From 2;

x+y = 7

x+2x+1 = 7

3x+1 = 7

3x = 7-1

3x = 6

x = 6/3

x = 2

Recall that y = 2x+1

y = 2(2) + 1

y = 4+1

y = 5

Hence the solution from the graph will be the point where the line cuts the x axis and this will be at x = 2 and y = 5

Answer:

0.205177 mi

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1: Find conversions

12 in = 1 ft

5280 ft = 1 mi

Step 2: Use Dimensional Analysis

13000 \hspace{2} in(\frac{1 \hspace{2} ft}{12 \hspace{2} in} )(\frac{1 \hspace{2} mi}{5280 \hspace{2} ft} )

0.205177 mi

A scooter manufacturer makes two types of scooters: the Go-go, which sells for $3,200 and the Whip sells for $5,000. Both models
garik1379 [7]
Let the number of Go-go scooter to be produced be x and that of Whip scooter y, then
Maximize: R = 3200x + 5000y
subject to:
x + y ≤ 120
3x + 6y ≤ 600
The corner points of the constraints are (0, 0), (0, 100), (40, 80), (120, 0)
For (0, 0): R = 0
For (0, 100): R = 3200(0) + 5000(100) = 500,000
For (40, 80): R = 3200(40) + 5000(80) = 528,000
For (120, 0): R = 3200(120) + 5000(0) = 384,000

Therefore, for maximum revenue, they should produce 40 Go-go scooters and 80 Whip scooters.

A) 4(x+1)=5x+12
mezya [45]
Hey there!

Here is ur answer >>>>

A) 4(X + 1 ) = 5x + 12

4x + 4 = 5x + 12

X = 4 - 12

X = -8

B) 13 ( 6 - x ) - 4 ( 3x + 12 ) = 0

78 - 13x - 12x - 48 = 0

30 - 25x = 0

30 = 25x

X = 30/25

X = 6/5

All of them are solved in these methods
