Answer:

The main difference is the extent of the opposition to the Vietnam war during the United States' military intervention.

Explanation:

While the first interpretation maintains that public opinion had turned against the war even before the Tet Offensive of 1968, the second one claims that the war had strong public support at that time and even up to 1970. While the first interpretation focuses on the many demonstrations against the war, the second one recounts an attack against peaceful protesters as being celebrated by the public.

Using complete sentences, describe two benefits and two environmental concerns about China's Three Gorges Dam.
grin007 [14]

The Three Gorges Dam is one of the largest dams in the world, both by size and by the accumulation of water by it. The dam has its own benefits and its environmental concerns, as it is the case with most of the dams, especially the big ones.

Benefits from this dam are the irrigation and production of electricity. The dam is able to produce very large amounts of electricity, and considering the energy demand in China it comes in very handy. In the drier parts of the year this dam also provides much needed water for irrigation of the farmlands.

Environmental concerns from this dam are the negative effect on the living organisms and the increase of floods. The living organisms are restricted in their movement, the water is warmer, and their habitat changed, and all of that results in decline in numerous species. The dam stops and accumulates the water, and that causes problems in the upper parts of the river as the water is flooding more often and more dramatically as it can not pass through, resulting in big damage and life losses.
