Liam and Kaiden are brothers who go to different schools. The school day is just as long at Liam's school as at Kaiden's school.

At Liam's school, there are 6 class periods of the same length each day. Kaiden's day is broken into 3 class periods of equal length. One day, it snowed a lot so both of their schools started late. Liam only had four classes and Kaiden only had two. Kaiden claims his school day was shorter than Liam’s was because he had only two classes on that day. Is he right?

What is 4855/200 simplified
EleoNora [17]

Answer:

The answer is 2427.5

Step-by-step explanation:

The fraction consists of two numbers and a fraction bar: 4,855/200

The number above the bar is called numerator: 4,855

The number below the bar is called denominator: 200

The fraction bar means that the two numbers are dividing themselves.

To get fraction's value divide the numerator by the denominator:

Value = 4,855 ÷ 200

To calculate the greatest common factor, GCF:

1. Build the prime factorizations of the numerator and denominator.

2. Multiply all the common prime factors, by the lowest exponents.

Factor both the numerator and denominator, break them down to prime factors:

Prime Factorization of a number: finding the prime numbers that multiply together to make that number.

4,855 = 5 × 971;

4,855 is a composite number;

In exponential notation:

200 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 5 × 5 = 23 × 52;

The ratio of males to females in a cycling club is 5:3.
taurus [48]

Answer:

3/2

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of males to females in a cycling club is 5:3.

1/3 of the males are under 18

2/9 of the females are under 18

The fraction of the club members that are under 18 is calculated as:

Male: Female = Male/Female

We are told in the above question:

1/3 of the males are under 18

2/9 of the females are under 18

Hence:

1/3 / 2/9

= 1/3 ÷ 2/9

= 1/3 × 9/2

= 3/2

The fraction of the club members that are under 18 is 3/2
