Parallel = has same slope
On points( 3,4) (-2,2)
(2-4)/(-2-3) = -2/-5 = 2/5 slope

Use same formula: (y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Find the slope of the other points:
(-2,-5) and (-7,-3)
(-3-(-5))/(-7-(-2)) = 2/-5 = -2/5

(-1, 1) and (-6, -1)
(-1-1)/(-6-(-1)) = -2/-5 = 2/5

(0,0) and (2,5)
(5-0)/(2-0) = 5/2

(1,0) and (6,2)
(2-0)/(6-1) = 2/5

(3,0) and (8,2)
(2-0)/(8-3) = 2/5

Which has same slope of 2/5?
You can see :)

One pound of grout is enough to grout a tiled area that is 110 sq. Ft. Alyssa's kitchen counter is made up of two rectangular se
Ratling [72]

Answer:

(10.3(2.5)+3.1(2))\div 110

Step-by-step explanation:

A_1 = Area of 1st rectangle = (10.3\times 2.5)\ \text{ft}^2

A_2 = Area of 2nd rectangle = (3.1\times 2)\ \text{ft}^2

1\ \text{pound of grout}=110\ \text{ft}^2

\Rightarrow 1\ \text{ft}^2=\dfrac{1}{110}\ \text{pound of grout}

The number of pounds required for the counter top is

\text{Total area}\times \text{The amount of grout used in 1 ft}^2

=A_1+A_2\times \dfrac{1}{110}=(10.3(2.5)+3.1(2))\times \dfrac{1}{110}\\ =(10.3(2.5)+3.1(2))\div 110

The required expression is (10.3(2.5)+3.1(2))\div 110.

(this question is kinda wierd. i do not know if i am correct, because mine is not exactly a system of inequalities, but if you really need an answer, you can try this one.)
