y-int: 140

slope: -4

to find the slope u gotta use the (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) formula

120-140 = -20

5-0 = 5

-20/5 = -4

There are two pizzas. Conor ate 1⁄4 of a pizza, Brandon 2⁄8, Tyler 3⁄4, and Audrey 4⁄8. Who ate the most of the two pizzas?
Semenov [28]
Not exactly sure, but just by my knowledge and common sense I'd say Tyler. He ate 3/4 so he ate most out of what was given to him.

the perimeter of a rectangle is 55 inches. the ratio of the length to width is 7:4. use proportions to find the area of the rect
Leni [432]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

let : x the length and y the width    .... ( x  > y and x ; y reals numbers )

the perimeter is : 2(x+y)

2(x+y) = 55...(1)

x/y = 7/4 ...(2)

by (2) : x = (7/4)y

subsct in (1) : 2( (7/4)y +y ) =55

(7/2)y +2y =55

multiply by 2

7y +4y = 110

11y = 110

y = 10

x = (7/4)(10)

x = 35/2

How do you express sin x + cos x in terms of sine only?
frez [133]

Answer:

\sin x + \sqrt{1-\sin^2x}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given: sin x + cos x

To change the given trigonometry expression in term of sine only.

Trigonometry identity:-

  • \sin^2x+\cos^2x=1
  • \cos x=\sqrt{1-\sin^2x}

Expression: \sin x+\cos x

We get rid of cos x from expression and write as sine form.

Expression: \sin x + \sqrt{1-\sin^2x}        \because \cos x=\sqrt{1-\sin^2x}

Hence, The final expression is only sine function.
