Answer:

Depreciation: $4,000.00

Variable costs : $914.81

Explanation:

The value of the car when new = $19,860.00

Values after two years =$11,860.00

Accumulated depreciation for two years

= $19,860.00 - $11,860.00

=$8,000.00

Assuming straight depreciation method, depreciation each of the two years

=$8,000.00/2

=$4,000.00

Variable costs are the cost that changes with usages. In this case, variable costs are gas and oil, lube, and miscellaneous.

Variable costs =  $845.96 +  $68.85

Variable costs =  $914.81

Mazyrski [523]

Based on the sales revenue that the ice cream manufacturer got and the cost of goods sold, the total gross profit on ice cream sales is $300,000.

<h3>How is the total gross profit calculated?</h3>

This can be found as:

= Sales revenue - Cost of goods sold

Sales revenue:

= 200,000 x 4.70

= $940,000

Cost of goods sold:

= Total production cost / Total units produced x Units sold

= 665,600 / 208,000 x 200,000

= $640,000

Gross profit:

= 940,000 - 640,000

= $300,000

In variable costing, variable costs are deducted from sales so as to obtain contribution margin. Net profit is the difference between contribution and fixed costs. Closing stock is the difference between production units and sales units. Closing stock is valued at marginal cost per unit in variable costing. Marginal cost per unit is the aggregate of all variable cost per unit.
