2Mg + O2 2Mgo what is the coefficient

Chemistry

Answer:

In this chemical equation, there are two main elements. Those elements are magnesium (Mg) and oxygen (O). Molecules are a group of atoms bonded together, and in this case, the oxygen molecules is O2, but not 2MgO because there are two different molecules in this compound. Coefficients are a number that multiply an entire molecule, and are also placed in front of it. In this case, O2 has no coefficient, but a subscript of 2. But, every molecule in this equation must have a coefficient and if add a coefficient of 1 to the oxygen molecule, it does nothing to the overall balancing of equations.

So, the answer: coefficient to the oxygen molecule is 2.

The half- life of actinium-228 is 6.13 hours What amount of a 70 milliqram sample remains after 24.52 hours?
Usimov [2.4K]

Answer:

4.375 milligram

Explanation:

Applying,

A = A'(2ᵃ/ⁿ)............. Equation 1

Where A = original amount of actinium-228, A' = amount of actinium-228 left after decay, a = Total time, n = half life

make A' the subject of the equation

A' = A/(2ᵃ/ⁿ)........... Equation 2

From the question,

Given: A = 70 milligram, a = 24.52 hours, n = 6.13 hours

Substitute these values into equation 2

A' = 70/(2²⁴°⁵²/⁶°¹³)

A' = 70/(2⁴)

A' = 70/16

A' = 4.375 milligram

What is atomic radius?
vfiekz [6]
The chemical element's atomic radius is measured by the size of its atoms, usually the medium or typical distance between the central nucleus and the surrounding electron shells. As the limit is not a well defined physical entity, different definitions of non-equivalent atomic radius exist.

Hope this helps!

A new process converts potential energy of an object to kinetic energy. Neither work nor eat is added to the system. No reaction
blagie [28]

Answer:

Change in height of the object

Explanation:

Change in height of the object

Since ,

We know potential energy can be written as mgh where

P.E. = mgh

M = mass ,

g = gravity constant

h = height

Kinetic energy can be written as 0.5 mv²

So , the Potential energy = kinetic energy

Then ,

velocity of object = √2 gh

Since g is a constant ,

Hence ,

Height of object will determine the velocity.
