Answer:

the formula to find slope is <em>m=</em><em>∆</em><em>y</em><em>/</em><em>∆</em><em>y</em>

<em>this </em><em>means </em><em>m=</em><em>y2-y1/</em><em>x2-x1</em>

using this formula

m=5-3/6-(-7)

m=2/13

Find the vertices and foci of the hyperbola with equation (x-5)^2/81 -(y-1)^2/144 = 1
vesna_86 [32]
Given the equation of an hyperbola in the form:
\frac{(x-a)^2}{b^2}- \frac{(y-c)^2}{d^2}=1
Then the focus of the hyperbola is (\pm\sqrt {b^2+d^2},0)
Compute like this:
\sqrt{81+144}=15
So the two focus points are (\pm15,0)
The vertices are given by the formula: (\pm a,0)
We deduce the two vertices of the given hyperbola: (\pm9,0)
since \sqrt{81}=9

Natasha_Volkova [10]
Pemdas? OK so how I would remember it by is "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally"
So.. Parenthesis, Exponent(s), Multiplication, Division, Addition, Subtraction..
Example~~~~~
(3^2} + 4) ×12÷4 - 1= ? so first do parenthesis and then the exponents then add it to 4 and the divide 12 and 4 and then subtract 1 which is 2.. Then after take two and 13 and multiply which is 26~
Hope this helps! :)
