Explain the mistake that governments are making when they collaborate with industries according to Marks.
Sladkaya [172]

The mistake that governments are making when they collaborate in this way with industry is that they conflate the common good with common ground

Explanation:

According to Marks the mistakes that the government do when they enter into the collaboration with the industries is that they would not insist on the benefit of people.

He cited the example of General Motors Company who has instilled faulty ignition switches where the government took time to respond to complaints made by the public. He also insists that the government should have proper control over the public private partnerships to prevent casualties in form accidents.

He is of the view that while making collaboration the government should ask the industries to take responsibility in protecting the public from any case eventualities.
