Elina [12.6K]

Answer:polling and interrupt

Explanation: polling is a protocol in which the CPU constantly checked if a device request an important attention based on a request. The polling process unit constantly scans the device. Example of polling is when a parallel printer port is pulled to check whether it is ready for another character which involves examining as little as one bit of a byte.

interrupt is a mechanism whereby a device notifies a CPU that it requires a response based on a request. The CPU gets an interrupt signal via an interrupt request line allowing the CPU to spot it's current process and give priority to the interrupt request at that point in time. Example of interrupt is pressing a key on a keyboard which in turn triggers a specific interrupt handler.

Can somebody please give me two specific examples on how to achieve each of the following tasks:
densk [106]
1) Understand and accept self - Don't avoid challenging things. Allow yourself to be challenged so you can find out what you can and cannot do. Also, learn to persist through adversity. This means to not give up at the first sign of difficulty. You might be surprised what you can accomplish by not giving up right away.
2) Effective choices - Align yourself with a mentor who is older than yourself. Most young people want to only associate with those of the same age, but people older than you can coach you and teach you in ways that help you to mature. Also, assume more responsibility. Don't always wait to be told to do things but start looking for things to do to help others without being told.
3) Mature relationships - A mature person can put others ahead of themselves, but an immature person is selfish. To develop mature relationships, start thinking of others first. Also, a mentor can help with this as well. Don't only hang around people of your own age. Seek out a friend or mentor who is a little (or a lot) older.
4) Achieve responsibility and independence - Learn to safely drive an automobile. This is a key activity that is a mark of responsibility and independence. You will become independent and responsible by doing this, or you won't be doing it for long. Take care of an animal. Having a pet that depends on you for care, feeding, exercise and friendship is a great way to learn responsibility.
5) Prepare for career - Do your research. The internet is the greatest tool for learning ever invented. There is no excuse for not reading up on the kind of work you think you would like to be doing. Don't wait! Many things that you would like to be doing in the future have youth-versions of that thing that you could start doing now. For example, if you'd like to be an engineer, start tinkering with things to see how they work and build some things you have designed too.

Think of five tips you would pass on to a freshman about how to study and learn to succeed in high school.
Natali5045456 [20]
1. Tip: Do Not Procrastinate. Get your work done early and be efficient. People don’t think that freshman year doesn’t really matter or counts, but it does.

2. Tip: Get to know your teachers and counselors. Knowing a lot of adults in the school can give you more opportunities than you really believe. You’ll be known and well like by your fellow elders

3. Don’t be a stereotypical freshman. A lot of freshman try extra hard to act cool and that’s why upperclassman don’t really like them. Be you and don’t try to be someone you aren’t.

4.Do extracurriculars. You don’t have to do sports like many people do, but at least join a club. All of this will be great for your college application come senior year. If you don’t like the extracurriculars your school has then do activities outside of school. You could always add those to your application as well.

5. Have fun. Enjoy your freshman year as much as you can. Do the Snipity Snap, be on the gram, enjoy all of this while you can because it only gets harder from here on out.
