What is that value of y in the equation 6.4x + 2.8y =44.4,when x=3
sasho [114]
The value of y, when x = 3, would be 9.

HERE'S HOW I GOT THAT ANSWER:
When you multiply 6.4 and 3, your would get 19.2. So you would subtract 44.4 and 19.2, and then you would get 25.2. Once you would get that, you would divide 25.2 by 2.8 so you could isolate the y, and once you did that, you would get 9.

Question 1:

To start off this question, we can tell that this is a square because it has 4 right angles and 4 congruent sides.

A square has four parallel sides and 4 congruent sides, so a square is a rhombus and parallelogram.

A square has 4 right angles, so it's also a rectangle.

A square has 4 sides, so it's also a quadrilateral.

The first choice is your answer.

Question 2:

Not all quadrilaterals are rectangles, so A is incorrect.

Not all quadrilaterals are squares, so B is incorrect.

All rectangles are types of quadrilaterals, so C is correct.

Not all quadrilaterals are parallelograms, so D is incorrect.

Thus, C is your answer.

Question 3:

The first choice will not work because a rhombus will satisfy those conditions, and a rhombus is not always a square.

The second choice will work because only a square will satisfy that condition because only squares have 4 congruent sides along with equal diagonals.

Thus, the second choice is your answer.

Have an awesome day! :)

Express y=-2x^2-5x-18 as y=a(x-p)(x-q), where a,h, and k are constants. Hence state the equation of the line of symmetry and hen
UkoKoshka [18]

Answer:

y = -2·x^2 - 5·x - 18

y = -2·(x^2 + 10·x + 36)

y = -2·(x^2 + 10·x + 36)

y = -2·(x - (-5 - √11·i))·(x - (-5 + √11·i))

Maybe there is a typo in the original question, because there is no factorisation in the real numbers.

Because the question is " find the minimum value of y" the coefficient before x^2 must be a positive number. so it could be

y = 2·x^2 - 5·x - 18
